Membership
PACC is a statewide membership organization of college and university presidents committed to advancing civic engagement. Our membership is comprised of 70 institutions including community colleges, private/liberal arts colleges, members of the State System for Higher Education and the Penn State System. Our members reach every corner of the Commonwealth; rural, urban, metropolitan and suburban.
Membership in Pennsylvania Campus Compact includes membership in National Campus Compact. As the only national organization committed to fulfilling the public purpose of higher education, Campus Compact is a leader in building civic engagement into campus and academic life with offices in 35 states, 7 million students and over 1200 public and private two- and four-year member colleges and universities across the nation.
PACC member institutions are committed to civic engagement through activities such as service-learning, community service, community-based research, voter registration, and civic dialogue which cultivate leadership in citizen scholars. Additionally, these institutions offer resources critical in developing community partnerships which enhance the quality of life in their communities, locally and globally. At least 95% of PACC institutions have a mission or purpose statement that drives policies supporting service or civic engagement and have it explicitly stated in their strategic plan.
PACC assists campuses in their capacity to coordinate, integrate, and manage their service programs through conferences, training workshops, technical assistance, grant making and resource development.
